FOUNDER’S STORY
November Saturdays
When I was sixteen, my boyfriend at the time was living in the foster system. He didn’t have access to football gear, school clothes, or even a functioning cellphone, essentials that help a teenager feel included, connected, and capable. I was working my first job, earning just enough to get by, but I spent what I had to make sure he never felt alone or left behind.I bought his football gear so he could play.
His school clothes so he could walk the halls with confidence.
His phone bill so he could stay connected to the world outside his group home.I had no idea then how much that season of my life would shape me. I didn’t know that a small act of kindness, a teenager trying to fill the gaps the system left open, would become the spark that led me to my true purpose nearly fifteen years later. For years, I felt called to help change the trajectory of someone’s life. I dreamed about opening a drug rehab, becoming a counselor, or finding some pathway into service, but each idea came and went. Then, around my 29th birthday, the name November Saturdays popped into my mind as I was falling asleep. It felt soft, warm, hopeful, my birthday month, football and basketball in full swing, the holidays approaching, people at their most giving. It just felt right. But it wasn’t until almost nine months later that November Saturdays finally found its home.Looking back, I realize that moment at sixteen was the beginning of everything.
It taught me what it feels like to stand in the gap between a child and the life they deserve.Today, that spark has grown into a mission—to make sure no child goes without the support, guidance, or opportunity that can change the trajectory of their life.
To ensure that no kid feels overlooked.
To become the foundation I once tried to be for someone else.November Saturdays is more than a nonprofit.
It’s a promise.
A legacy.
And the beginning of a better path for the kids who need it most.
WHY WE EXIST
WHY WE EXIST
We exist because too many children grow up without the support they need to feel safe, confident, and capable.
Some lack stable home environments.
Some face financial barriers that keep them from fully participating in school, sports, or creative passions.
Some simply need a mentor, a helping hand, or someone who sees their potential.
November Saturdays steps in where families and systems fall short.
We provide resources, financial assistance, mentorship, and opportunities that help children discover their strengths and stay on the right path.
This foundation is more than a program, it’s a reminder that even one moment of support can change a life.
